Portfolio Statement

I have always had a love for photography even back in the day when I was a boy and I received my first camera from my grandparents which was a Kodak Brownie Reflex/Twin Lens. I knew nothing back then about photography, but I was fascinated on how clear the images were and whenever I could, I brought it out just to photograph some of the simplest things that were around the house. However, as a young man I set my camera aside in pursuit of what I thought were grander goals.

It wasn't until 2006 when I found myself living on the streets in Federal Way, Washington that I began to notice that no matter where I look, I found beauty everywhere from a small pine cone sitting upright on a tree stump to the grace and beauty of a Bald Eagle as it soared high in the sky.

11 years later and some 50 years since I was a boy, I would now consider myself as an Independent/Freelance photographer that specializes in Landscape and Nature. However, by adding portraiture with this genre, give me an added dimension to my skills as a photographer that can add to the overall composition to each Portrait.
